Testing will show how much leakage is occurring in the property. LEAKS, ENERGY going out = MONEY$$$ going out.
This also effects the QUALITY OF AIR, comfort levels. On average the combined leaks in a home equal the same effect of leaving a window 2ft x 2ft open 24 hrs, losing cool/heated air.
Testing will show where leaks exist, repairs/solutions that are required to achieve better efficiency and to obtain required standard in order to receive the building CO(Certificate of Occupancy) by code.
It is a REQUIRED TEST to receive your Building CO to finalize your building project.
We provide a written test result to submit to the Building Department at the time of the test.
As defined by the National Zone Chart it references the mapped area, how many air changes per hour. In the state of Florida it is required that a home has between 3 ACH to 7ACH. [AIR CHANGES PER HOUR] Testing is calculated with specialized equipment in accordance with Section 553.993 (5) or (7). Florida Statue: Individuals licensed as set forth in Section 489.105 (3),(F),(G) or (i) or an approved Third Party, Certified by BPI (Building Performance Institute,Inc)

BLOWER DOOR TEST
Blower Door Test will show the amount of leaks coming in and out of the building. This test is done by depressurizing the building. All leakage is inefficiency, it means you are losing money in higher AC bill and have an air quality below standard.
